PHOENIX, Ariz. — A devastating tragedy struck Maryvale High School on Tuesday morning when a student fatally stabbed another student during class, leaving the campus and surrounding community shaken with grief and unanswered questions about safety in schools.
Police confirmed that the victim was 16-year-old Michael Montoya II, a bright and well-loved student whose life was cut short in a violent attack that has stunned classmates, teachers, and families across Phoenix.
